Growing Fuzzy Inference Neural Networks: Their Principle and Application

Iveta Mrázová, Jiří Iša · ASME Press eBooks · 2007

The article introduces a new growing fuzzy inference neural network (GFINN) based on the principle of growing neural structures. The model finds very rapidly the weights between hidden neurons and the output of the network and an original technique for the selection of significant input features supports extraction of a small set of representative, yet transparent fuzzy rules. So far, GFINN has been tested with the Boston housing data set.
