A web-based environment for introductory programming courses

This paper describes a web-based technology oriented towards the development of a system for automatic generation of supplemental teaching materials for students. The system is intended for students attending introductory programming courses. It offers a rich variety of learning resources for their preparation. The most powerful feature of the system is its capability to automatically generate exercises. A subsystem for automated generation of programs and corresponding results obtained after their execution was developed as well.
