IMAGE SEGMENTATION USING HOUGH TRANSFORM
International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science · 2023
Using image segmentation, which groups pixels into regions of similarity, information can be extracted and represented from a picture.Based on the pace at which a region's intensity changes over time or the rate at which the depth of the image changes, we can group pixels together.Compared to pixels that are situated on a surface like a plane, cylinder, sphere, etc.The recognition of various shapes in an image is the application's goal. The following steps can be used to divide up this task.An image is first transformed to grayscale.Histogram for the information linked to intensity and threshold can both be utilized to detect lines. After that, an edge recognition process is put into practice. The threshold edge map is then subjected to a Hough transform to link the edges. This is how a straight line is detected."Hough circle" is a function used to detect circles.
