A new approach to fuzzy-control large scale systems

This paper develops a new approach to the control of interconnected system using fuzzy system theory. The approach is based on incoroporating a group of local estimators on the system level to generate the input-output database. An array of feedback fuzzy controllers is then designed to ensure the asymptotic stability of the closed loop system. The developed technique is applied to unstable large-scale system and extensive simulation studies are carried out to illustrate the potential of the new approach.
