Digital multiple peak and valley detector system

The purpose of this study was to develop a means for determining the position and amplitude of data peaks and valleys, where a peak is the point of maximum amplitude of a Gaussian curve while a valley is the point of intersection between two overlapping Gaussian curves. This technique can be applied to any pulse counting system in which there is a need to find such maximums and minimums.
