Development of the primary CRIM system for the NIST 2008 speaker recognition evaluation

We describe how we modified the CRIM factor analysis speaker verification system to handle the new cross-channel conditi ons encountered in the 2008 NIST speaker recognition evaluation. Using the 2006 evaluation data for development, we obtained results on a broad spectrum of test conditions that are uniformly bette r than the best results that have been published in the literature.
