MICROPROCESSOR BASED CONTROL TECHNIQUE FOR VEHICLE PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION

Sarma R. Vishnubhotla · 1997

This discussion begins with an explanation of a typical automobile electronic system, including sensors and actuators and their intelligence, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters multiplexing and demultiplexing, and multiprocessor architecture. The next section discusses both dynamic performance control and diagnostic parameters that are used in deciding the appropriate microprocessor architectures for different types of vehicles. The presentation concludes with a discussion of small vehicles, complex vehicles, and future automobiles.
