Electronic Supermarket for Mobile Agents

The development of World Wide Web and Internet browsers enables electronic commerce to come true. However due to tremendous increase of new sites connected to the Internet and enormously large amount of data to be processed, electronic commerce faces many eciency and eectiveness problems. This paper lists some of the problems encountered by using mobile agents, attempts made toward solving those problems and how unsuccessful they are, and then propose the use of electronic supermarket, which solves or minimizes the problems of using mobile agents. Benets of using electronic supermarkets are discussed, particularly those associated with the use of mobile agents. Management and security issues are also discussed.
