What aspect is needed for a better understanding of tilt sickness

Motion sickness is a physiological result of sensory conflict with spatial orientation. There are two approaches to motion sickness models: descriptive model approach and predictive model approach. The former is comprehensive but less applicable for practical engineering use. The latter presents useful forms for engineering but has narrow application in practice because it concerns only accelerative inputs, neglecting other inputs. A more comprehensive and practical model is necessary to solve the motion sickness problems in real transportation. One way to meet this need is to make a quantitative model of sensory conflict with spatial orientation. Efforts in this aspect will lead to a better understanding of and even a solution to the motion sickness problem in tilt trains.
