Network Management as a Service

This paper explores the feasibility of offering net-work management as a service. We describe avail-ability and responsiveness as the two key factors that govern how functionality is moved off-site (to the cloud). Using common management tasks as exam-ples, we describe the process and the challenges of designing their cloud-based equivalents. We also ex-amine the costs of such off-site implementations. 1
