COMPARISON OF ITS ARCHITECTURE USED IN U.S., E.U. AND JAPAN

This paper presents a comparison of the national Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) architectures used in the U.S., European Union, and Japan. The bases for comparison include guidelines, user services, logical architecture, physical architecture, and standardization. The paper concludes with suggestions regarding the development of the national ITS architecture for China.
