DETECTION OF PEDESTRIANS USING VIDEO. PART 2. INVESTIGATION AND EVALUATION
S Edholm, Ivar Gustavsson, C G Nyman, E Oscarsson · 1982
The aim of this project is to evaluate the use of pedestrian detectors at signalized intersections. In a previous study problems with shadows have been observed. The aim of this second part is to find solutions of these problems. Tests have been made where two cameras have been used. This method seems to solve the problems with shadows but there are difficulties in calibrating the two pictures and there will probably be some problems when mounting the cameras as they must be correlated.
