Mapping OO Applications to Relational Databases using the MOF and XMI

This paper presents a meta-model for the OORelational mapping, based on the Meta Object Facility (MOF), an OMG specification [1]. The meta-data interchange is achieved through XMI [3], an open specification for domain information interchange, considering that the UML [9] or the MOF is used for modeling. XML instances are validated with XMI schemas [2].
