Decompositions of control networks
Stanley M. Altman, Peter J. Denning · 1970
WYE-SEQUENCE-JUNCTION (WSJ) control networks are defined and shown to be completely characterized by a precedence graph and an i/o-relation; this information may be used to construct two canonical decompositions of WSJ networks. Some remarks about networks containing UNION modules are made. Finally a unique decomposition for networks containing DECIDER modules is given.
