Operating procudures for the three 200 x 100 x 15 feet pits are given. Methods for detecting the motion of wastes in the Conasauga shale are described. The conclusion is that it is virtually impossible to predict from any known method of pretesting, in a proposed site in the Oak Ridge area, how a waste disposal pit will operate. (W.D.M)
