Version: v11 Total number of pages: 84 The main purpose of the present document is to describe the hardware/software partitioning of the investigated multi-mode digital baseband design. There are several techniques to do this partitioning. One of them is based on actual profiling information of the design, i.e. figures about the computational complexity of the design. The partitioning of the design will be done for each functional entity or unit. Therefore the computational expense of each of the components will be presented. After introducing the principles of the partitioning process and the related algorithms the partitioning of the investigated system will be presented together with the implementation architecture.
