This study aims to build a platform, allowing integrated eye-tracking and posturographic recordings in an immersive VR environment. Moreover, it aims to investigate how exposure to two different visual motions produced by visual simulation affects pupil position, the autonomic pupillary response, and body-sway. Six healthy subjects were exposed to 30 seconds rotational visual stimulation and 30 seconds optic flow simulation. Both visual stimulis in VR environment were done using the game engine Unity. Eye data including pupil position and pupil size were recorded using the Vive pro Eye Tracker with the SRanipal SDK. Balance data was obtained by measuring body-sway area on the Wii Balance Board. Values were compared to a baseline data retrieved 20 seconds before and 20 seconds after the implementation of visual movement. The results of this study indicate that visual stimulation has a significant impact on pupil size and body-sway area. There is significant correlation between pupil size and body-sway area, and vergence response and body-sway area for the rotational stimulation. In conclusion, the platform can successfully correlate post graphic measures and autonomic responses.
