This thesis presents Noire, a full-stack e-commerce web application designed to provide local businesses in Jordan with a professional and accessible online sales platform, addressing the digital gap faced by small businesses that lack the technical resources to establish an online presence. The application was built using the MERN stack — MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js — supplemented by Cloudinary for cloud-based image management and Stripe for secure online payment processing. Noire consists of three independently deployed components: a customer-facing storefront, a RESTful backend API, and a dedicated administrator panel, all hosted on Vercel with MongoDB Atlas as the cloud database. Customers can register, browse a categorized and filterable product catalog, maintain a persistent shopping cart, and complete purchases via Cash on Delivery or Stripe Checkout, while administrators can manage product inventory, monitor orders, and update order statuses through a secure, isolated panel. The project demonstrates that modern web technologies, when carefully integrated, can produce a production-ready, secure, and scalable e-commerce solution within the scope of an undergraduate project, offering local businesses a digital presence comparable to that of larger online retailers.
