A survey about AmI: areas, tasks and technologies.

In recent years, Ambient Intelligence (AmI) has experienced a significant growth thanks to the different advances in the numerous contributing areas which support it. The development of new technologies in this areas affects directly to the way in which AmI tasks are implemented. Therefore, applications and scopes where AmI can be applied change quickly. The purpose of this paper is to organize AmI contributing areas, and to describe the tasks undertaken by each one of them from a theoretical point of view. Technologies used by current projects are also presented as an AmI state of the art. Finally open problems, where our future research work will focus, are identified.
