AI in Data Analysis: A STATA Guide

STATA is one of the most famous data analysis software internationally. Its advantage is that it allows for both the menu and programming modes to be used. This chapter opens with a short introduction in STATA—importing the data, data management and transformations, descriptive data analysis. The simplest way to use AI with STATA is by using the Generative AI tools, following the same principles described in Chapter 13 for Data Visualization. Another possibility is to use R or Python related packages adapted for STATA. One option presented is the” chatgpt” command that runs ChatGPT under STATA interface. One important conclusion is that AI tools are quite rudimentary in STATA, but they may be compensated by the existing Generative AI ones.
