The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT)-based systems has fundamentally reshaped modern digital infrastructure, enabling seamless connectivity across healthcare, smart cities, agriculture, and industrial automation. However, this expansion has simultaneously introduced severe cybersecurity vulnerabilities rooted in the distributed, heterogeneous, and resource-constrained nature of IoT environments [1,2]. IoT devices typically operate with limited computational power, memory, and energy capacity, making them ill-suited to conventional security protocols [3,4]. Their frequent deployment in unsecured or remote locations further amplifies exposure to both physical and cyber-attacks, including eavesdropping, data manipulation, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, and unauthorized access [1,5]. Ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across these ecosystems has therefore emerged as one of the most pressing challenges in contemporary cybersecurity research.
