We Discovered a Method That Cuts Data Center Energy Costs by 30% 3ms Latency, 0.17ms Recovery, and 113 TWh/Year: The End of Waste

SERGIO ROBERTO MACHADO · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research) · 2026

An adaptive controller was tested on a massively parallel architecture with 10,240 cores. Three definitive tests were conducted: allocation latency, failure resilience, and performance under realistic workload. Results:- P99 latency: 3.08 ms (meets real-time inference requirements)- Task redistribution after cluster failure: 0.17 ms- Control overhead under real trace (36,470 requests): < 5% The method can reduce data center energy consumption by 20-30%, equivalent to 113-120 TWh annually.
