The Purechain Blockchain Network: Architecture, Performance, and Applications

Dong‐Seong Kim, Ikechi Saviour Igboanusi, George Chidera Akor · Blockchain Research and Applications · 2026

Enterprise blockchain adoption is hindered by scalability, latency, and energy consumption. This paper introduces Purechain, an efficient, resource-optimized permissioned blockchain network designed to overcome these limitations. Purechain’s core innovations are its Proof-of-Authority and Association ( PoA 2 ) consensus mechanism and the Smart Auto Mining (SAM) algorithm. PoA 2 enhances security and reliability by dynamically managing and replacing inactive or underperforming validators. Complementing this, SAM optimizes resource use by adjusting mining activity to the live transaction load, significantly reducing energy consumption by pausing mining during idle periods. This approach leads to storage savings of up to 13.7%. Built on Go Ethereum for full EVM compatibility, performance evaluations show the network achieves an average of over 2,300 TPS, with peaks up to7,000 TPS. Real-world applications, such as secure wallets, e-voting systems, and copyright platforms showcase its practical viability, establishing Purechain as a high-performance, sustainable platform for critical sectors.
