Much of what is said and written, is fragmented and focused on specific aspects, making it difficult to see the forest for the trees. What is needed is a viewing tower that can provide an overview. A historical and societal perspective that can draw threads back in time while looking ahead without forgetting the present. A compass that can help us navigate through a period that may be the most turbulent and decisive since humans took their first tentative steps as an independent species.
