This chapter deals with the multitarget tracking by the multistatic radar systems. We consider and discuss the following characteristics of the multitarget tracking by the multistatic radar systems, namely, the information content, dynamicity, ruggedness, and efficiency. Three approaches to the information radar position compilation can be realized: the union of the primary measurements of the radar positions, the union of the coordinate marks, and the target trajectory union. We study the multitarget tracking peculiarities by the multistatic radar systems with taking into consideration the special aspects predefined by the multistatic radar system design. The multitarget tracking algorithms are investigated. Special attention is paid to the multistatic airborne radar system working capacity under the multitarget tracking. We investigate the multitarget tracking by the passive multistatic airborne radar systems that can be applied for solving a set of specific problems. We show that the main advantage of these systems is their operational security caused by the absence of own searching signals that, in turn, introduces their main disadvantage – a priori ambiguity of the received target return signals. This disadvantage is redoubled under the multitarget tracking conditions, when the target radioelectronic systems being the potential tracking targets for the passive multistatic airborne radar systems use the pulse signals with varying pseudorandom parameters. Additionally, we consider the signal identification and state vector estimation and the multitarget tracking by the passive multistatic airborne radar system.
