Scalar Identity and Comparison Object Identity in the HγC Second Cycle v0.1

H Cools · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research) · 2026

The HγC second cycle has produced a receive-side infrastructure for handling cases before explaining, comparing, dynamically modeling, or integrating them. Within that infrastructure, scalar similarity creates a specific overclaim risk: the same or near-same Λ_eff may be mistaken for same object, same structure, same readiness, or integration readiness. This paper formalizes a comparison-object identity discipline for the HγC second cycle. The paper distinguishes scalar identity, diagnostic-label identity, branch identity, comparison-object identity, internal-structure identity, readiness relation, and integration relation. These relations may align in special cases, but none follows automatically from scalar similarity alone. The central proposition is that same Λ_eff does not determine a unique internal organization; it indexes a contour across multiple structural realizations. Scalar sameness is therefore not rejected. It may be recorded as scalar contour evidence, weak comparison evidence, bounded comparison pressure, or archive value. What it cannot authorize by itself is same-object status, structural identity, unique inversion, readiness inference, or integration. The paper positions this discipline after P1-P3 and before any later P4-type limited-integration pressure work, preserving scalar information while blocking scalar shortcut.
