Usability of the system used in a company improves efficiency and system user satisfaction, and reduces training and help-desk costs. Measuring usability of the system helps to compare effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction between system versions and to identify usability features to be improved. This thesis concentrates on measuring usability of an advertising campaign booking system in a Finnish media house. The usability measurements were done with two standardized questionnaires, System Usability Scale (SUS) and NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX), supported with additional background information, open feedback survey and task completion time measurement. Participants in the experiment were real end users who create advertising campaign bookings to the system daily. According to the experiment results, the usability of the system is at an average level but needs to be further improved. Main overall system improvements discovered are increasing system speed and reducing overall inconsistency of the system. Main interface improvements identified are simplifying how targeting is added to campaign items, reducing amount of tabs and clicks, and less scrolling in horizontal plane.
