Games in various forms have been an integral part of human society for thousands of years. In particular, offline activities of board games have gained high popularity since ancient times. With the rapid growth of social media, communication habits have changed dramatically.Traditional Flyin' board game activities have been ported to online platforms and have become part of computer games. In addition to the impact of the new coronavirus, people's face-to-face game formats have gradually become less common. However, playing the digital version of the board game online brought a new challenge to face: the inability to play face-to-face resulted in the loss of body language and non-verbal communication, which in turn compromised the gaming experience. In response to this situation, we thought that if we put traditional offline board games in a remote online environment, we could restore the offline board game experience by creating a hybrid game format that combines digital and physical elements while maintaining the physical nature of the board game. For this study, the author proposed a new board game called "Advanced Warfare" that combines and expands on the physical and digital aspects of this remote environment. We hypothesized that the hybrid arrangement would provide a richer gaming experience than the traditional digital version of the board game, and we used heart rate variability as a physiological and emotional indicator to verify the game's three-dimensionality, immersion, presence, iii Abstract and tension. The results of the validation showed that playing the hybrid game of "Advanced Warfare" was more intense heart rate.Furthermore, it can be seen that this hybrid form of digital-physical combination can extend the gaming experience of simple digital games.Advanced Warfare pioneered a physical board game activity in a new remote environment and showed the potential for emotional connection between players.
