Database design is an important phase of the database development process. Basic concepts and methodologies used on the several database design phases will be covered: - Identification of the main components of the Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD). - Translating the ERD into relational tables (relational model) - Data normalization Communicating with the database using basic SQL statements will also be presented.
