The hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon is parametrized by using the quark resonance model formulated in ^[1]. In this context a recent prediction obtained within the ENJL model[2] can be affected by two addictional contributions: the next to leading corrections in the inverse cutoff expansion and the gluonic corrections. Motivated by the necessity of reaching a highly accurate theoretical prediction of the hadronic contribution to the muon g-2, we study in detail both the effects.
