The work is devoted to the development of a methodology for studying the perception of visual information in the user interface of a corporate information system. A corporate information system is a special case of information portals, which solves specific information retrieval tasks. An important factor in the search is the speed of obtaining information and the accuracy of the operations performed. To meet these conditions, it is necessary to develop an effective user interface with simple and easy-to-read controls. In addition, a simple and intuitive user interface will reduce the learning time for new users of the system. The use of eye tracking technology to identify optimal design solutions when designing user interface elements is an urgent task, since it allows us to identify effective solutions in terms of human perception of visual information at the perceptual level of perception. A methodology has been developed for conducting experimental studies of the perception of visual information in the user interface of an information system based on oculography methods using a specialized SMI RED 250 eytracing software and hardware. The scientific novelty of the work consists in using the results of an experiment using eytracing technology to identify the perception features of the elements of the user interface of an information system at the perceptual level of perception. It is advisable to use the identified features of visual perception in the development of both active user interface elements (control buttons) and passive elements (highlighting text blocks, choosing a font for button design). As a result of the experiment and subsequent statistical processing of the obtained parametric data of the template for viewing the stimulus material, practical recommendations for designing the user interface were developed. The conducted research concerns only those elements that were identified as experimental factors: the use of backgrounds, the ordering of the composition, the use of serif font and the choice of font color.
