This project presents the design and implementation of a cross-platform calendar application focused on seamless multimodal event creation. The system enables users to generate calendar events directly from text, image, or audio inputs, leveraging AI-based extraction to interpret key event details such as title, time, date, and location. The application also incorporates useful productivity features including recurring event scheduling, notifications, and synchronization with Outlook calendar—particularly useful for the university’s students and faculty. The solution consists of a Flutter frontend and a Rust-based backend, communicating through secure APIs and supported by Supabase for authentication and data storage. Event synchronization with Outlook is achieved via the Microsoft Graph API, allowing bidirectional updates between the local and external calendars. The outcome is a simple but practical calendar system that enhances calendar management through intuitive multimodal inputs.
