Improving the management and operation efficiency of joint funds:trends, challenges, and countermeasures

Since 2018, the National Natural Science Foundation of China has launched the reform of joint funds in the new era. In order to understand the joint funds' performance, we conducted research on relevant stakeholders, and combined with the relevant research findings of the academic circles, we have comprehensively sorted out the effectiveness of joint funds'management and operation mechanisms in the past five years. The research results show that the overall operational efficiency of joint funds is constantly improving, but the problems that affect the management and operational efficiency of joint funds are still very prominent. Furtherly, there are three levels (efficiency, achievement and effect) to optimize and adjust the management and operation of joint funds.
