Nadean H. Tanner · 2019
This chapter shows some of the cool troubleshooting tricks for Windows: reliability history/monitor (RELI), problem steps recorder (PSR), PathPing, my traceroute (MTR), Sysinternals and GodMode. RELI traces its roots all the way back to Windows Vista. PathPing is the washer/dryer/folder combination of Windows. Windows Master Control Panel gives access to all the operating systems (OS) control panels within one folder Enabling God mode creates a folder that gives access to every single Windows OS setting. Reliability Monitor will build a graph for the cybersecurity professional of important events, application and Windows failures, and updates and other information that might be important. Microsoft TechNet is a treasure-trove of all things Microsoft, including troubleshooting, downloads, and training. PSR is a combination troubleshooting, assistance, screen capture, annotation tool that few information technology professionals know about.
