M H Burchett, A J Sterling · 2000
This paper looks at how the Bluetooth technology, which involves a low power, lost cost radio standard, can have applications in the automotive environment. The authors discuss specific issues that need to resolution in order to allow Bluetooth to be adopted by the automotive environment. These include issues such as interoperability in-vehicle propagation, interference, security of data, and environmental requirements. They describe how Bluetooth functionality is incorporated into a vehicle interior, while also looking at how Bluetooth products might evolve in the near future.
