This paper presents a novel mathematical model that can be used for optimizing patrolling routes. This model is an arc profit model. The benefit of traversing arcs multiple times is proportional to how many and what type of crimes have happened in the vicinity of that arc in the past. In addition to the basic model, two additional models which balance the work among different vehicles are constructed. The Workload balancing models are compared and the advantage and disadvantage of each are discussed. The models are applied to a network that includes the main roads of the University of Maryland at College Park campus and the suggested routes are shown.
