A Neuro-Fuzzy Algorithm for Predicted Mean Vote

This paper presents a neuro-fuzzy method to calculate Fanger£§s thermal comfort index£opredicted mean vote £¨PMV£©. The PMV calculation is divided into 5 fuzzy modules,as a result, it becomes easier, faster but competent in enginerring applications. A more precise calculation result is achieved when adopting the neural networks to modify the modules. The proposed method is compared with Fanger£§ s equation, and the results show that the method can meet the engineering requirement in terms of the precision .
