STUDY ON SPECIFIED COMMUNICATION AREA FOR DSRC
T Takaoka Sasamoto · 1998
In the ETC (Electronic Toll Collection system), the radio communication data should correspond to the vehicle and antenna mounted on the gantry on the road. For this purpose, it is important to limit the radio communication area to about a few square meters. Especially, for OBUs (On Board Unit) when trying to decide the receiving frequency, it is necessary to maintain a certain D/U (desire - undesired signal) ratio. Here, RSU (Road Side Unit) antennas were designed that follow Japanese ETC system draft specification, and the interference characteristics at the edge of the communication area were studied. Consequently, the designed antenna has been shown to be useful for limiting the radio communication area and for practical systems. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
