MCMC Solution to Circle Fitting in Analysis of RICH Detector Data

The present contribution deals with a data analysis problem which is of great importance for many experiments in high energy physics, namely the problem of recognition of circles in observed noisy planar data. The situation is formulated in terms of the Bayesian estimation problem, the solution is based on the Metropolis—Hastings algorithm.
