Three -eleefcromie systems are developed for the purpose of r@= eordiag'a eloek timing sigaal ©m a magaetie drum* Digital and sampled data techniques are employed throughout the study of phase-lock and frequeney-loek systems* In addition to the -closed-loop automatic con trol systems, a simple system utilizing a fixed frequency oscillator is developed* The principles of mechanization of each of the three systems is presented5 analysis of each system indicates that the fixed fre quency should receive primary consideration in a practical application
