INTERFACE BETWEEN ARCINFO AND MINUTP
Dany Nguyen-Luong · 1996
This paper discusses two software packages, and their interface, used to develop a transportation model that forecasts public and private transportation traffic. The model was developed by the Ile-de-France region. The two software packages utilized are ArcInfo and MinUTP. ArcInfo's land occupancy data is used as input to MINUTP network and socio-economic data. Traffic data is generated in ArcInfo. The output is sent to MinUTP. MinUTP calculates distribution, assignment to the networks, and mode choice. Then, ArcInfo is used for post-processing, to determine environmental and economic impact, and to create map displays.
