THE TELEMATICS DATABUS : THERE'LL BE ANOTHER ONE ALONG IN A MINUTE

Robert J. Ball · 1999

In this paper, the author discusses the need for a separate telematics databus, pointing out that non-safety-related systems could be easily added to vehicles at a minimal cost. The author discusses the requirements for this new databus and compares them to standards that have already been announced. The author concludes that an existing consumer electronics bus standard should be adopted.
