Vehicle electronics and electronic control systems are an integral part of modern vehicle design. They include electronic engine management, cruise control systems and navigation aids as well as communication facilities. The sensor system examined is in this article is adopted in the SECURE project, which aims to extend the range of application of the sensor system by combining radar and computer vision sensing in a cost effective manner.
