AUTOMATIC INCIDENT DETECTION IN HERMES

The HERMES work on interurban AID (Automatic Incident Detection) can be considered as a follow-up of the work carried out within the DRIVE I project MONICA. Within that project two new algorithms and a multimodel framework were proposed. Main limits of MONICA were the lack of experimentation using actual data and a precise definition of the multimodel strategy that has to be used. HERMES work aims to test the proposed algorithms and the multimodel approach in the real context using actual data and making field trials in cooperation with the MELYSSA project.
