Development of a digital hearing aid with advanced processing algorithms

This paper summarizes the research and development work started in 2006 regarding the construction of a digital hearing aid with noise reduction capabilities using microphone arrays. It is primarily focused in the algorithms of noise reduction and feedback cancellation and their simulation and implementation in a miniaturized DSP. Results and further steps are detailed.
