Wave Phenomena at Liquid-solid Interfaces

In many problems both in engineering and basic research the effects of interaction of a fluid and a solid phase have to be taken into account. In this paper we present a numerical scheme for the treatment of the fluid-solid interface and its applications. From a mathematical point of view the main problem is the coupling of nonlinear, under certain conditions hyperbolic, partial differential equations. Physically these equations lead to different types of waves and different wave speeds. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
