Variable interval impulsive control for synchronisation in reaction-diffusion complex networks and its application to image encryption

The synchronisation problem of complex networks with reaction-diffusion terms under a variable interval impulsive control approach is addressed in this paper. By constructing a comparison system and introducing a time-varying function along with an exponent parameter, less conservative conditions are provided to achieve synchronisation between a drive system and a response system, thereby improving the existing results in the literature. A numerical example is listed to calculate relevant parameters and conduct simulations, which illustrates the effectiveness of the theoretical results. Subsequently, the derived impulsive synchronisation approach is utilised in an image encryption application, showing excellent encryption performance.
