In recent years, Internet of Things (IoT) keeps evolving and permitting end users to benefit from its advantages. For example, automation, continuous monitoring and improved productivity. Although this technology facilitates the user’s life, the experience can be ruined due to cyberattacks aiming to interrupt the service and collect unauthorized data. Therefore, we propose a trust-based system to ensure continuous control of the system’s users. Any interaction between the user and the trust system is managed by a permissioned blockchain. A smart contract will be responsible for the trust’s verification, update and retrieve actions. More tests are provided in smart contracts to be launched automatically and preserving subsequently the security of the system. Regarding the trust evaluation, our approach allows the detection of Denial-of-service attempts. Also, the results show that a user’s transactions’ latency increases in parallel with transactions’ number. Additionally, the throughput increases accordingly with the transactions number invoked on blockchain ensuring system’s scalability.
