The article presents a method for optimizing the detection and prevention of spoofing attacks targeting RFID readers used in production networks. The analysis revealed the infrastructure’s vulnerability to impersonation attempts of authorized devices or production process elements, potentially leading to unauthorized operations, disruptions, or even paralysis of the entire process. In response to these identified threats, an anomaly detection algorithm was developed for an intermediate device, operating independently of the production system’s source code. A mechanism for blocking suspicious messages in real-time was proposed, along with a schematic representation of the solution’s operation. The conducted analysis confirms that the proposed method enhances RFID network security without affecting the integrity of existing industrial systems.
