Cybersecurity is facing an unprecedented wave of challenges due to increasing attack complexity, volume, and speed. Human-centered defense strategies are increasingly outpaced by attackers leveraging automation and advanced tools. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) has revolutionized the cybersecurity landscape, especially by enabling automation in security protocols. This transformation allows organizations to stay ahead of cybercriminals by automating threat detection, response, and mitigation processes, thus ensuring timely and effective defense mechanisms ( Figure 5.1 ).
